What is TABC?  TABC is the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. They regulate all phases of the alcohol beverage industry in Texas. They also regulate TABC Certification. online and live courses and providers.

What is TABC Certification? Although not mandatory by the state, it is required by the vast majority of businesses who employ alcohol sellers and servers. The TABC Certificate that we provide to you is proof for your employer that you have successfully completed the TABC Certification.

What does the course cover? We train you about the laws concerning minors and alcohol. intoxicated persons and alcohol, how to check ID's, how to spot fake ID's, general information about alcohol and intoxication, private club alcohol licenses, general information about the TABC and more.

What are the age requirements? You must be 18 or older to sell alcohol in an on-premise business such as a bar or restaurant. You must be 21 to sell in a liquor store. There is no minimum age to sell beer and wine in a grocery store. There is no minimum age to take the TABC course as long as you have a Social Security number or work permit.

What are the computer requirements I need to take the  course?

How long is my TABC Certificate Valid? For 2 years providing you are not convicted of certain TABC violations

When does my TABC certificate activate? You are certified as soon as you complete the course and test.

Can I just take the test to be re-certified? Unfortunately no. TABC rules require you must re-take the entire class and test. But since Jan. 2011 the course is now only 2 hours and you can start and stop as many times as you wish.

Can I print my TABC certificate? Yes. You must print your certificate on completion. We no longer mail the certificate to you. You can print your certificate from ANY computer even if you did not take the course on that computer. Just log back in with your user name and password here

I lost my certificate. How do I get a replacement? You can log back in to our course catalog page with the user name and password you used to take the course to print another certificate, To see when your TABC Certification expires go to the TABC Inquiry Page  Enter your DOB and SS# exactly like the sample shows you

I don't have a credit card. Can I use a debit card?
Yes you can use a debit card if it has a major company logo on it such as Mastercard, Visa, etc.

Why do I have to provide my Social Security number?
It is all tied in to child support. The Texas Attorney General has said that if anyone owes child support, they can not get any kind of state certification, permit, or license. That is why TABC must have your SS# in order to get TABC Certification.
